This is about how much I loves an entirely different geek right now.

SO, we're watching--or rather, we have on the television while we do stuff on the computers--My House Is Worth What?, and the first house is this very nice 1600 sq. ft. house in the Hollywood Hills. I don't see the couple who owns it (John and Bonita), but I do look up long enough to see that every single room of the place has an extensive bookshelf. I love that. It's just this nice, normal home.

So, we're both at a stopping point when the commercial break is about to start, and Noel and I both look up to see that "John" is in fact, John Billingsley!

So of course, we had to go back and rewind and watch from the beginning!

Noel pointed out that, not only is the house a very "regular person" house, not only is it obvious that John and his wife live on books (as we all should), but there's a CAT TREE right by the window in the master bedroom!

I loves him muchly right now. Geek.

A friend of mine is friends with Bonita (and has interviewed John repeatedly as well as had him perrorm in a short film she did to support the writer's strike) and has said they're just lovely people. The cat tree would have definitely earned them MANY points with my friend, who's an animal softie. :-)

ETA: Just read Tara's comment and, yes, it's the same friend.

So cool! I didn't know they did celeb houses, too. I tend to leave my TV on HGTV if nothing else is on. At least I get decorating tips. Or now I watch BBCAmerica for Top Gear. It's a sad, sad addiction (cars go whooooosh!)
